We encourage local congregations to embrace the opportunity of fostering inclusivity and offering comfort to newcomers. One great resource, the Welcome Churches website, provides practical tips and insights on how faith communities can welcome and engage with migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum.
Understanding the context of refugee integration is crucial. In our resource titled Refugees in Northern Ireland 2020-21: Some Basic Facts, we share key statistics and insights into the experiences of refugees in our region. This resource helps to raise awareness about the diverse backgrounds and stories of those seeking asylum in Northern Ireland, fostering empathy and understanding within our communities.
Our Who's Who, Who's Here resource provides essential information about the different organisations and key individuals involved in supporting refugees and migrants in Northern Ireland. This resource acts as a directory to help you connect with various agencies providing assistance, ensuring that newcomers can find the help they need quickly.
We value the stories of migrants and believe that sharing these narratives is vital. Our Hear My Voice resource features video animations and leaflets that tell the personal stories of migrants. These resources aim to humanise the refugee experience and encourage empathy and support from the wider community.
